Celebrating thirty years of existence, London-based Acid Jazz Records continues to thrill with both new and old. As part of their Leroy Huston re-issue campaign through 2018, the label are pleased to announce details of two further albums Closer To The Source and The Man! set for release on May 11th on vinyl, CD and digitally.

Recently nominated for Soul Artist Of The Year at 2018’s Jazz FM Awards, Hutson sees a deluxe re-issue of 1978’s classic Closer To The Source unveiled replete with bonus tracks and extensive sleeve notes coupled with the earlier outing and his second album for Curtom The Man! again with additional sleeve notes and bonus tracks.

Perfectly poised between soul and club music, the remastered Closer To The Source includes the favourite ‘Get To This (You’ll Get To Me)’ and ‘You’re A Winner’. Meanwhile 1974’s The Man! Includes his version of Donny Hathaway’s signature track, ‘The Ghetto’ (co-written with Hathaway), ‘Ella Weez’ and ‘Could This Be Love’ whilst the cd features a bonus track, the now hard-to-find mono version of ‘Ella Weez’.

The time has never been more right for a new generation of soul fans to get to know these albums and for previous generations to fall in love with them all over again…these albums have been reissued with Hutson’s full support.
